Ice Rhapsody-2 by Igor Krutoy and Ilya Averbukh
Igor Krutoy and Ilya Averbukh's show "Rhapsody of Ice - 2" took place on March 8, 2025, at the CSKA Arena in Moscow. The musical portion featured Ildar Abdrazakov, Sumi Cho, Olga Peretyatko, Dima Bilan, the Igor Krutoy Academy Children's Choir, and the Tyumen Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Yuri Medyanik.
22 compositions were specially written for the event by Igor Krutoy. "Life is a multitude of moments. Birth, the first smile, the first word 'mama,' the first victory, first love. Every moment is unique. Life is full of miracles. I tried to embody these moments in music today," with these words Krutoy opened the show. Beforehand, he performed a composition called "A Dream Seen in a Dream" on the piano, accompanied by an orchestra. Next, Bilan surprised the audience by descending from the ceiling on a bicycle and then continuing his skating routine onto the ice. Next on the ice were Russian Grand Prix Final winners Vasilisa Kaganovskaya and Maxim Nekrasov, accompanied by Olga Peretyatko and Ildar Abdrazakov. 2015 World Champion Elizaveta Tuktamysheva took to the ice in a captivating red dress, surrounded by men in suits, accompanied by Sumi Cho.
Two-time Russian Champion Evgeny Semenenko performed to Peretyatko's vocals. Russian Vice Champion Petr Gumennik performed a routine to the piece "Shaky Traces of Love." Dmitry Aliev delighted everyone with another somersault, which he later said earned him a standing ovation and was already becoming his signature move. 2018 Olympic silver medalist Evgenia Medvedeva, performing to Cho's vocals, delivered a fiery routine, literally—a fire blazed around her on the ice. Two-time world champions Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviskiy performed to Abdrazakov's vocals. Matvey Vetlugin, who always manages to surprise with his looks, appeared on the ice dressed as a cosmonaut to a song performed by Bilan.
2022 Olympic bronze medalist Mark Kondratyuk performed to a composition performed by Abdrazakov, and skaters draped in red threads joined him on the ice. Olympic champion Anna Shcherbakova, singing to Bilan's vocals, appeared on the moon descending from above. Olympic champion Alexei Yagudin took to the ice with aerial gymnasts. "Two months of working to your music were a blast," Averbukh concluded, addressing Krutoy.
